I apologize for the hiatus in my blogging. My professional life has been very busy; I’m teaching two college courses right now. And nothing has slowed down in my personal life, so I haven’t found the time to keep blogging.
As I’m sure you know, it isn’t for the lack of material. With the automatic budget cuts (the sequester) quickly approaching and partisan politics unabated in Washington, there’s plenty I’d like to be blogging about.
Hopefully, in March I’ll be able to return to at least a weekly blog post. I’m looking forward to it; I hope you are as well.
As a long time observer and participant in policy and politics, I'm very frustrated that important information and context for our national policies and politics are not being provided by our mainstream media. My policy and politics blog searches out and digests this information in a concise format for busy people.
I have a Ph.D. in Social Policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University. My particular focus is early childhood policy and programming. However, we can't make truly significant progress on early childhood and other social and human needs until over powering, systemic issues are addressed. I write about these issues in this blog.
